CONSUMER PROTECTION METHODS IN THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT

this article examines various methods for protecting consumer rights in the digital environment. The rapid development of digital technologies, e-commerce platforms, and online services has expanded opportunities for consumers but has also created new risks, such as fraudulent schemes, unauthorized use of personal data, and violations of consumer rights in the digital space. The article analyzes both international and national approaches to protecting consumer rights, including regulatory measures, educational initiatives, and the role of local community institutions. Recommendations are proposed to enhance the effectiveness of consumer protection mechanisms in the digital economy, emphasizing the importance of legal awareness, digital literacy, and collaboration between government authorities and local self-governing institutions.
